Minotaurs defeat Crusaders 34-8

On Sunday, the Westmeath Minotaurs defeated the Cill Dara Crusaders 34-8 behind a strong running game from RB Rafael Monteiro and timely connections between QB Joe Kinahan and his strong stable of receivers. Rookie DB Peter Dempsey notched his second interception in as many games, and veteran DE/LB Dean Johnston came just short of the endzone with his first career pick.

This is the Minotaurs second win in the 2021 Friendly Series. The final game comes on Oct. 3 against the West Dublin Rhinos at the Mullingar Rugby Club.
